Hot Chamber Die Casting Machine
Die casting is a manufacturing process in which molten metal is forced under high pressure into reusable, precise tolerance metal dies.
Decardy Die Casting in Chicago, IL was given the job to produce the elbow as a precision  zinc die casting.
  • The trimmed, polished, and buffed zinc castings are sent to Unity Manufacturing in Chicago where the castings are machined, cleaned, chrome-plated, polished, and assembled.
  • This is a high-volume run with 10,000+ parts in a production run.
The elbow housing is cast in a  single cavity precision steel die in a 50 ton hot chamber die casting machine.
